As a responsible and committed company with our society, with the environment that surrounds us and above all with our clients, during the last weeks Verdant Experiences have been following and applying the recommendations of the Spanish Ministry of Health, as well as those provided by other institutions to in charge of managing the impact of COVID-19, which currently is affecting not only Spain, but also the rest of the world.
With the COLLABORATION OF EVERYONE and taking the appropriate measures, this situation can be solved in a short period of time, so we ask to remain calm and that the recommendations set by the official bodies and transmitted by companies like ours are followed.
In this communication we announce the following exceptional actions, as well as the facilities that we will offer our clients during this period:
Customer Service
We maintain our customer service within our regular hours, and we continue to accept requests for services for dates after May 31, 2020.
Flexibility in Booking or Canceling Services
Until April 30, 2020 (inclusive, and may be extended until later on), we maintain greater flexibility in the booking and cancellation of products, reducing the general cancellation deadlines and without applying penalties until 48 hours before the service or checkin in the accommodation, being able to be even more flexible in some particular products.
In the case of the postponement of any product to a later date due to a cancellation by the client, no penalties will be applied (there may be some temporary restriction in case of including accommodation) and if possible, the original conditions will be maintained.
Cancellation of Scheduled and / or Booked Excursions
Until May 31, 2020 and until further notice, the group excursions we offer are canceled. In the event that excursions are canceled after this date, customers who already have bookings with us on the affected dates will be notified directly and such information will be updated in this statement, in addition to announcing it through the social media channels of our company.
In the case of travel package or private excursions, they are also canceled until May 31, 2020. If you are interested in a private excursion, we could evaluate the request and proceed with it only if you are not under restrictions and following the recommendations and protocols applicable at that time.

RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE “CONSELLERIA DE SANIDADE” IN RELATION TO THE CURRENT SITUATION OF THE NEW CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) IN GALICIA

In the case of doubts or information needs, the Galician Government (Xunta de Galicia) has enabled a free telephone number +34 900 400 116 for inquiries.
Symptomatology
The most common symptoms of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) are FEVER, COUGH, RESPIRATORY DISTRESS OR DYSPNEA.
In the case of arriving from a trip or being in contact with people who come from a risk area and present the described symptoms, it is not recommended to go directly to the hospital or health center, but to CONTACT PHONE 061.
Generic Recommendations
- Hand hygiene and respiratory hygiene
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, or use a hydroalcoholic solution.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth if you don't have clean hands.
- Practice good respiratory hygiene: when you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue (which you should immediately dispose of in a wastebasket), or against elbow flexion.
- After touching respiratory secretions (sneezing, coughing, wearing tissues) and / or contaminated objects, you should wash your hands thoroughly.
- If you have symptoms of respiratory infection (FEVER, COUGH, RESPIRATORY DIFFICULTY OR DYSPNEA) stay away from other people, at least 2 meters.
- The use of a mask is not recommended as a protection measure for people who are not ill. On the contrary, it can generate a sense of security that is not true and its manipulation can cause more risk from contact with the nose, mouth or eyes.
Recommendations on Travel
Following the precautionary principle, it is recommended not to travel to affected areas or risk areas, unless it is strictly necessary. You can check these areas on the website of the Spanish Ministry of Health:

Recommendations on the Participation or Conduct of Events
All people who present the symptoms mentioned above are asked not to attend events or places where large numbers of people are concentrated, due to personal and community responsibility.
The recommendations will be adapted, in any case, to those established at the international or national level taking into account the evolution of the disease.
