So, today we will talk about the second part of <strong>\u201c10 reasons why Ribeira Sacra should be a World Heritage Site\u201d<\/strong>. If you missed the first one, we leave you the link at the end of the article. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:25px\">\n          <strong>6- Because of its enchanted forests <\/strong>\n        <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chestnuts, oaks, birches,&#8230; Ribeira Sacra is one of the few places in Galicia where most of its landscape has remained intact over time. There are so many fragas (native forests), where the ambient seems more like part of a thriller movie than real. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.turismo.gal\/inicio?langId=en_US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tourism of Galicia Agency<\/a>, in its <strong>Galicia Birding<\/strong> catalog, includes Ribeira Sacra as one of the 10 best destinations for bird watching in Galicia. This area has been recognised by the <strong>European Union as Protected Birdlife Reserve (ZEPA<\/strong>) and <strong>Special Conservation Zone (ZEC, formerly LIC)<\/strong>. Monasteries, terraces or even the T\u00fanel de Montefurado (roman tunnel used to extract gold) are not out of place.
