We did the complete guided tour of the church and the monastery of Santo Estevo, with children. In the church Lucía attended us and in the monastery Diego. Both showed a lot of knowledge and a lot of passion in everything they told us, even with photographs and documentation (plans, written documents...) that they themselves have been collecting over time, details and corroborated evidence that they have investigated and contrasted. We really liked it, the visit was very interesting. They continue to discover new things so we will have to repeat it in the future to know more secrets of Santo Estevo.

We decided at the last minute to book an excursion to the Ribera Sacra for two people. We came from Granada and we really wanted to get to know the area. The best we could do is contract with them. Complete minibus excursion. It included a boat along an area of the river with an absolutely fantastic explanation from Joan. Two monasteries, viewpoints, food and wine tasting. For those who did not want wine tasting there was another option. We have booked many excursions to see places but as it stands none. Diego was the tour guide and he gave us a master class on all the sites we visited. A 10 for the treatment and how it is organized. Fantastic value for money. Totally recommended.
Incredible treatment and organization, very complete explanations, very good selection of tourist attractions during the visit, etc. It's a shame that the timing was a little twisted, but even with that Diego knew how to look for alternatives to some of the stops on the tour to get the most out of it.

Possibly one of our best experiences visiting Galicia…The organization and suggestions were excellent, with very well organized routes and visits, which allowed us to enjoy an area that we had yet to get to know, non-urban Ourense.The first day (Friday) we visited: the Monastery of Santo Estevo, the Monastery of San Pedro de Rocas, the Monastery of Santa Cristina, the Mirador de A Columna, the Mirador de Peñas de Matacás and the Magic Forest of Entrambosríos with its centuries-old chestnut trees. , as well as other points of interest in the Ribeira Sacra. All of this 'seasoned' with valuable explanations from Diego. It was not a tour of selfies and more selfies - but with authentic guiding work.We also visited - with tasting - the wineryAdega Vella that has obtained the 2 best awards in the Galician wine tastings this yearFinally, on the second day (Saturday) we took the excursion along the Sil on a river catamaran. We booked a private family tour of the Ribeira Sacra, despite having booked it shortly in advance, they organized a very complete personalized one-day route that allowed us to get closer to the Riberas del Sil and the Miño.Thanks to Diego, a magnificent guide and pleasant companion, we were able to appreciate the cultural and natural wealth of the area. Fantastic excursion with a visit to monasteries, a catamaran route through the Sil, a very good meal in a restaurant whose reservation was managed, a visit to viewpoints and spectacular landscapes, a great day and a place to return to.Totally recommended.
Our group of six Australians had a wonderful day. Out hosts exceeded our expectations by having an English speaking translator for us at each stop. The boat trip, winery visit, lunch etc were all excellent. Highly recommended and great value for money.
This is really a great tour company. I did an all-day Ribeira Sacra visit that was fantastic. Every aspect of it was smooth, from easy booking to follow-up information on pickup points, timeliness and comfort. The coach and driver were first class and Diego provided a lot of great history and lire during the tour. Answered lots of questions, was funny and engaging.We covered a lot of ground for a day and even had a beautiful catamaran ride on the Rio Sil. The countryside is very beautiful and the miradors and villages we visited were terrific. The lunch in Parada de Sil was great too.The tour ended at a beautiful winery, Adega Vella, where we got a great tour and tasting.I have Camino'd quite a bit in Northern Spain and the scenery on this tour rivals anything I've seen in Galicia -- which IMHO is one of the most beautiful places in Spain. You can't go wrong here, Diego goes the extra mile for his customers, and the trip is a great value. It was a fun day and I hope to return soon. Thank you.
Diego was very knowledgeable in a variety of subjects and he really brought Ourense to life. It is a very well organized, full day of cultural tourism, and the value is top notch. The lunch option was fantastic, with great views and efficient service. Expect to be physically tired by the tours end. ( Diego does speak English.) Highly recommended.
The one day tour of Ribeira Sacra is excellent value and a great way to see the area. Diego was a brilliant guide - very upbeat and enthusiastic, speaking first rate English. We were the only two English people on the tour and Diego gave us special attention with a translation after each stop. Make sure to include the lunch which is a good opportunity to improve your Spanish and eat some fantastic local specialities.
I set up a private tour on Christmas Eve with my family to tour the Ribeira Sacra region. Diego -- our awesome tour guide who is from the region (and speaks great English) -- led us to many viewpoints, an adega for wine sampling, a lunch in a castle in Maceda, and told us the legends of the region. Despite a rainy start, Diego made sure we could see the region in all its beauty and catered to our specific desires. Well worth the price. We are in love with the Mencía wines from this region and highly recommend Verdant Experiences to help you navigate a big territory with difficult terrain.
